Amazon Prep Assistant (SW Co. Roanoke) Part-Time Help Wanted

American Luxury Gifts, a home-based Amazon wall art business in Roanoke, is hiring a part-time prep assistant to work in our in-home workshop. Hands-on role packing orders, prepping shipments, and carefully handling framed art and photographs.

We're a family-run business producing inspirational and faith-based wall art, among other designs. We value honesty, hard work, and respect for each other.

Who this role is perfect for: Stay-at-home parents with daytime availability, retired military, college students with flexible schedules, or anyone who wants steady part-time work in a calm, home-based setting.

What you'd do:

• Pack and ship Amazon FBM orders daily
• Prep FBA shipments: labeling, poly-bagging, box packing, paperwork
• Print shipping and product labels
• Carefully handle photographs, prints, and framed artwork (delicate, detailed work)
• Quality-check products and packaging before shipment
• Keep the workshop clean and organized
• Assist with receiving inventory and restocking

What we're looking for:

• Reliable, trustworthy, dependable — able to work independently at acceptable speed
• Strong attention to detail and organized
• Comfortable with delicate, tedious work (framing, handling photographs)
• Computer and printer literate
• Able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Non-smoker
• Comfortable working in a home-based workshop with pets

Huge plus (strongly preferred):

• Warehouse, picking/packing, or shipping experience
• Prior Amazon seller, FBA prep, or e-commerce fulfillment experience
• Experience as a Virtual Assistant (VA) or Personal Assistant
• Familiarity with Amazon Seller Central, ShipStation, or similar platforms
• Interest or background in arts, crafts, or framing

The details:

• 1099 independent contractor
• $15–$20/hour, depending on experience
• 20–25 hours/week, weekdays roughly 12–5 pm
• Schedule is flexible — some days more, some days less
• Paid weekly
• On-site only — work performed in our Roanoke home workshop
• Non-smoking, drug-free workshop. No smoking, vaping, or drinking on premises.
