About the Role

The Education Ambassador, Corporate Accounts is a dynamic motivator, brand advocate, and educational leader devoted to empowering and inspiring salon teams throughout our chain account and customer network. In this role, you will adapt specialized curriculums, champion our brand values, and deliver transformative education in haircutting, styling, and color. Through impactful training and hands-on support, you’ll spark a passion for continuous learning, encourage technical mastery, and help stylists become enthusiastic about our brands.

This role requires up to 50% travel.

What You will Do:

  • Relationship Building and Mentorship: Responsible for establishing and nurturing strong relationships with corporate accounts by making regular visits to salons. Through these consistent engagements, the Ambassador actively connects with stylists, recognizes and celebrates their achievements, and provides direct mentorship. By proactively addressing challenges as they arise and sharing success stories, the Ambassador reinforces a culture of high performance and motivation within each salon team.
  • Facilitation of Haircutting and Styling/Grooming Classes: This role involves leading dynamic, hands-on classes that cover all aspects of short hair grooming, from foundational cutting techniques to advanced styling methods. The Ambassador demonstrates the latest techniques, imparts professional insights, and empowers stylists to elevate their service standards. By fostering an engaging.
  • Brand Advocacy and Representation: The Education Ambassador serves as a passionate advocate for the JPMS brand, consistently representing and communicating the company’s vision and values at every interaction. By building loyalty and enthusiasm among salon teams, the Ambassador transforms educational experiences into lasting brand advocacy, cultivating excitement for the JPMS portfolio.
  • Curriculum Development and Customization: Adapting and customizing educational content for corporate accounts is a critical responsibility of this role. The Ambassador creates engaging digital, virtual, and in-person sessions tailored to each account’s unique needs. Every educational experience is designed to reflect current industry trends, uphold JPMS brand quality standards, and address the diversity within salon teams.
  • Collaborative Education Planning: In partnership with JPMS sales teams and the customer’s own education leadership, the Ambassador leads the planning and coordination of education initiatives for corporate accounts. This collaborative approach ensures that all educational efforts are aligned with broader organizational goals and tailored to client objectives.
  • Strategic Event and Training Design: The Ambassador is responsible for designing and developing strategic shows, events, and training programs for corporate accounts. These initiatives are carefully crafted to align with organizational objectives, foster innovation, and ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. The Ambassador manages all aspects of planning to guarantee successful and impactful events.
  • Impact Measurement: A key aspect of the role is to measure the effectiveness and impact of all educational activities, shows, events, and training sessions delivered. This ongoing assessment ensures continuous improvement and helps demonstrate the value of education within corporate accounts.

What You’ll Need:

Skills:


  • Proven experience as an inspirational educator, trainer, and stylist in the professional hair industry, specializing in all aspects of haircutting and styling, with specialization in barbering
  • Outstanding presentation, communication, and motivational skills
  • Proven passion for mentoring and uplifting others
  • Strong artistic sensibility and creative leadership, consistently delivering innovative educational content
  • Collaborative and open-minded, welcoming diverse perspectives and encouraging team input
  • Adaptable and proactive, eager to embrace new challenges and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Resourceful problem-solver who shares innovative ideas to achieve results

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Current Cosmetology license in good standing

Experience:

  • 7+ years as an Educator salon, manufacturer, distributor, or cosmetology school

Nice to haves:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, communications, or related field preferred

Competitive Compensation:

  • The expected base salary range for this position is $115,000 to $125,000. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including geographic location, experience, skills, and education.
  • Discretionary Bonus Plan: This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan, based on personal performance and company results.
