Job Description


Accountabilities

  • Supply Planning & Supply/Demand Balancing:
    • Create and maintain the overall AI & FF&P supply plan across the AMEA region for an assigned portfolio, providing options to meet variances in demand and supply.
    • Maintain balance of overall supply/demand requirements for the portfolio (3-27 months horizon) and align/support asset planners in the short-term horizon (0-3 months horizon).
    • Challenge commercial units, sales forecasts, and demand uncertainty as the owner accountable for the full 27 months horizon.
    • Plan all products within the portfolio according to Global and AMEA Planning processes and policies.
    • Manage the monthly Requirements & Operations Planning (ROP) meeting with Production sites for the assigned portfolio.
  • Operational Procurement & Vendor Management:
    • Support the overall FF&P production plan by executing options on formulation and packaging components to meet variances in demand and supply.
    • Schedule and order all required components provided by Syngenta to asset locations (in-house and/or 3rd party manufacturers) to meet production plans.
    • Place orders (and run MRP for material orders) accordingly in SAP to ensure formulation and packaging components are available at asset(s) for production.
    • Act as the first point of contact for day-to-day operational issues with suppliers and resolve invoice discrepancies with appropriate stakeholders.
    • For 3rd party manufacturers (tollers), collaborate to ensure timely reporting of production, receipts, and shipments.
  • Inventory Optimization & Management:
    • Ensure efficient use of inventory (both regional and international), maintaining agreed customer service levels, whilst minimizing working capital.
    • Optimize inventory of components and formulated bulks to minimize working capital.
    • Reconcile and maintain accurate inventory records and monitor vendor performance for respective asset(s).
    • Implement Safety stock strategy based on demand variability and supplier reliability.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Collaborate with asset planners, other internal supply chain stakeholders, and suppliers to ensure delivery dates and OTIF (On-Time, In-Full) are met and discrepancies escalated.
    • Clearly communicate constraints in the supply chain via tier meetings processes and implement alternative solutions.
    • Partner with Supply Chain managers, Global planners, Asset planners, and Demand Managers to ensure the optimization of demand/supply and inventory throughout the regional supply chain (AI, raw materials, bulk, and finished products).
  • Master Data & Process Compliance:
    • Maintain accurate SAP master data, including efficient introduction and removal of products (SKUs) according to the Range Management Process (including AGI code creation and extension).
    • Review SAP/APO master data with country planners periodically and ensure timely update of changes.
    • Monitor design and regulatory changes to all lower-level components and ensure that all materials used in production comply.
    • Ensure that all processes operate against Syngenta's Material Requirement Planning (MRP) philosophies & principles.
    • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned planning processes.

Qualifications


Critical knowledge & experience

  • Qualification: University degree or equivalent
  • Experience: At least 5-7 years of exposure in a Supply Chain and/or Planning environment, with experience in key interfaces within a Supply Chain.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong understanding of supply chain planning MRP principles.
    • Proficiency in SAP, APO, PP/MM module, Excel, Power BI etc.
    • Experience with planning parameters, master data management, and data integrity.
  • Critical Capabilities:
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functions, cultures, and geographies.
    • Customer focus and attention to detail.
    • Proactive and innovative resolution of issues; action-oriented and delivery-focused.
    • Effective stakeholder and expectation management.
    • Ability to manage change and ambiguity, with a strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize work.

Additional Information
  • Comfortable working in open-plan office environment.
  • Some short overseas travel.
