American Family Care (AFC)Urgent Care-Flushing Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner - Bilingual

American Family Care (AFC) -Flushing is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join their team, providing care within the scope of training and approved agreements. This role involves collaborative work with other providers and staff to ensure efficient patient flow and high patient satisfaction. The APP will work directly with a franchised business location, with specific job duties and benefits varying between franchises.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complete, detailed, and accurate health histories, review patient records, develop comprehensive medical assessments, and order appropriate laboratory, radiological and diagnostic studies
  • Formulate medical and nursing diagnoses and institute therapy or referrals of patients to appropriate healthcare facilities, agencies, and community resources or physicians
  • Institute emergency measures and emergency treatment or appropriate stabilization measures in situations such as cardiac arrest, shock, hemorrhage, convulsions, poisoning, and allergic reactions
  • Interpret and analyze patient data to determine patient status, patient management and treatment
  • Provide instructions and guidance regarding healthcare and healthcare promotion to patients/family/significant others
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Compensation

  • $75 - $105 per hour

Shift & Schedule

  • Weekend help
  • Shifts are Monday to Friday 12 hours 8am to 8pm, Saturday and Sunday 9 hours 8am-5pm
  • Ideally, 2-4 shifts a month but can be flexible month to month

Requirements

  • Excellent communicator with staff, patients, and family
  • Professional appearance and attitude
  • AANP or NCCPA Board Certified - (with 1 yr ER/UC experience preferred)
  • Active and current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of practice, DEA number, and state-controlled substance certificate, as required
  • Able to multi-task and work independently
  • Bilingual Chinese

Pay: $75.00 - $105.00 per hour
