The American Journalism Institute is seeking is seeking applicants for a full-time, salaried reporting fellowship at one of the country’s most-read conservative news sites in the country.

Our American Journalism Institute trains, mentors and launches the next generation of reporters, all while providing full time salary and benefits. As a Reporting Fellow you will investigate and tell stories that are overlooked or intentionally ignored due to media bias. Meanwhile, through our process and results, we make both the pragmatic and the emotional case for truth in journalism.
We will train you to be a reporter who can deliver smart, incisive reporting on issues important to the American public.

A candidate should excel in a fast-paced environment, meet tight deadlines, juggle multiple projects simultaneously, and build sources both in D.C. and across the country. The ideal candidate should:

• Be a driven, proactive "self-starter" with a passion for working on intense, high-impact tasks.
• Possess integrity, understand the importance of journalistic trust, and be committed to reporting the truth no matter what.

Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities of this position will include:

• Content Creation: Research and write articles reflecting a depth of subject matter knowledge, and identify opportunities for telling stories on multiple platforms.
• Reporting Strategy & Vision: Work with editors to identify topics for reporting in alignment with an America First brand voice.
• Quality Control: Ensure all published content meets high journalistic standards and aligns with the Daily Caller/Daily Caller News Foundation brand.

Qualifications:The candidate should be a strong problem-solver and a detail-oriented individual with proven writing skills. They should work naturally within a team environment and possess the ability to work with little supervision. In addition to these attributes, we prefer candidates with the following abilities:

• Education: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent subject-matter expertise, preferably in journalism or communications. Will consider other options.
• Optional Digital Proficiency: Proficiency in content management systems (e.g., WordPress) and multimedia storytelling (video/audio).
• Familiarity with social media platforms and experience in content creation.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Sense of purpose and humor.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
