FTZ Administrator
Responsible for the administration and compliance activities of Clarks Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) . Oversee the accuracy of the inventory and customs records and is the subject matter expert for FTZ inquires and interacts with Customs Port Director & Officers for the Port of Harrisburg, PA.
What You'll Do:- Daily filing of zone admission. Prepare and file the weekly customs entry, weekly entry estimate, and in bond document creation to support export from the FTZ
- Coordination of Customs issues for inbound foreign goods and Processing and verifying FTZ related data & Interdepartmental coordination with other departments impacted by imports
- Validate data within the FTZ Integration Point Inventory Record Keeping, including verification and application of assist values
- Organize and maintain all required document for US Customs. Maintain the FTZ manual and all documented procedures.
- Inventory reconciliation and verification of inventory transactions which includes preparation of annual FTZ Board reports
- Perform all system testing of the FTZ software to include data interfaces, data integrity and system functionality for all software upgrades prior to implementation into the live production system.
- Serve as a liaison between the company, CBP, and other government agencies
- Support annual FTZ inspection with CBP
- Develop and implement procedures to ensure compliance with FTZ regulations and CBP regulations
- Prepare and submit required reports, including the FTZ Annual Report
- Stay up-to-date on changes in customs regulations and trade agreements
What You'll Bring:- Basic knowledge of US Harmonized Tariff System and US Customs regulations preferred.
- Basic knowledge of and experience with SAP and Integration Point software is preferred
- High School diploma required. Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
- Knowledge of business, accounting, and/or import concepts preferred.
- Foreign Trade Zone, Customs Brokerage, Logistics or Inventory experience is helpful
- Basic understanding of Inventory controls in a high-volume Distribution Center
- Project Management experience in the Regulatory arena
- Basic financial and business acumen
- Effective Decision Making
- Good Project management skills
- Ability to interpret business, financial, and operational information to recommend business decisions.
- Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal form.
- Detail oriented, with ability to solve problems and deliver required results with minimal supervision
- Operate Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Information technology skills, familiarity with FTZ software, SAP and Microsoft Office
- Analytical Skills
- Customs background check required (CBP Form 3078)
- Licensed customs broker preferred but not required
