AmeriQual Foods - Financial Analyst

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support financial planning, reporting, and operational analysis within our manufacturing environment. This role partners closely with plant operations and leadership to deliver data-driven insights, improve financial performance, and support strategic decision-making across the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning. Analyze financial results and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

· Prepare and distribute timely, accurate financial reports for plant and corporate leadership. Provide variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast/prior year) and actionable recommendations.

· Partner with plant leadership, production, and supply chain teams to analyze operational performance, including labor efficiency, production volumes, and cost drivers.

· Oversee the valuation and accounting of raw materials and finished goods inventories, ensuring compliance with company policy and accounting standards.

· Analyze large datasets from ERP and other systems to support decision-making. Identify trends and opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency.

· Support capital investment analysis, including ROI, NPV, and payback period evaluations.

· Identify opportunities to enhance reporting accuracy, streamline processes, and improve financial visibility across the organization.

· Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and applicable accounting standards


· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.

· Minimum of 2 years of finance or accounting experience, preferably within a food and beverage manufacturing environment.

· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong familiarity with ERP systems such as Sage, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics 365.

· Solid understanding of GAAP and SOX regulations.

· Deep knowledge of cost accounting principles and variance analysis.

· Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

· Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

· Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

· Collaborative team player capable of working independently and meeting objectives with minimal supervision

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this position, employees are regularly required to sit, walk, and stand; communicate effectively in person and via telephone; and use hands to operate standard office equipment. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, and color vision, as well as the ability to adjust focus. The position also requires frequent visits to the production floor, where standard food processing plant temperature conditions apply. Work is performed in a facility where nuts, fruits, and other allergens may be present.
