Job Title: Training & Development Specialist

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor AMI alerts and alarms; develop and present recommendations for resolution of any issues to support timely repairs of the AMI system, network, and associated equipment.
- Collaborate with field operations teams (meters and communications network devices) to monitor repairs of the AMI system, network, and associated equipment.
- Perform AMI system upgrades, patches, configuration changes, and testing as required.
- Maintain documentation for AMI system architecture, procedures, and configurations.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) of AMI system performance. Present KPI reports to AMI Operations leadership proactively identifies potential solutions to any underperforming metrics.
- Assist the Metering department with communication issues regarding the connect/disconnect command.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and support analytical initiatives; provide technical support and troubleshooting for data-related issues to ensure the availability of data infrastructure.
- Create virtual meters in the Meter Data Management System (MDM) to assist Engineering with analyzing system loading.
- Support Metering and Billing by assisting with meter-related investigations and service issues.
- Assist the System Engineer with reporting concerning blink counts and outages.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree of Applied Science, required. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred.
- Three years (3) or more related experience in utility engineering, AMI, or RF electronics.
- Must demonstrate personal initiative and independent judgment and possess good decision-making skills to effectively relate to and resolve issues in a timely manner. Ability to gather and analyze information skillfully and develop alternative solutions.
- Proficient computer skills with software applications (Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Valid driver’s license.
