An Anaesthesia & Operation Theatre (OT) Technology Job Description involves preparing the OR, sterilizing instruments, assisting surgical/anesthesia teams, managing equipment (like anesthesia machines, cautery), ensuring patient safety, infection control, and handling pre/post-op patient care, requiring precision, teamwork, and knowledge of sterile techniques for procedures across specialties like general, ortho, lap surgery.

Key Responsibilities:

· Operating Room Preparation: Clean, sterilize, and set up the OT with instruments, equipment, and supplies before surgery.

· Surgical Assistance: Pass instruments to surgeons, maintain sterile field, manage equipment (lights, suction, monitors) during procedures.

· Anesthesia Support: Assist the anesthetist by preparing machines (like Boyle's machine), checking drugs, and monitoring equipment.

· Equipment Management: Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot surgical/anesthesia equipment; manage inventory.

· Patient Safety & Sterilization: Adhere strictly to infection control protocols, manage CSSD (Central Sterile Supply Department) duties, and ensure patient safety.

· Team Collaboration: Coordinate with surgeons, nurses, and other staff for smooth workflow; may assign duties to other OT staff.

· Documentation: Maintain accurate records of procedures and inventory.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

· Diploma/Degree in OT & Anesthesia Technology.

· Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology.

· Attention to detail, critical thinking, ability to work under pressure.

· Strong understanding of sterilization & infection control.

· Experience (e.g., 2+ years) in varied surgical settings (General, Ortho, Laparoscopic).

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
