Anaesthesia Technician

Job description

• We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Anaesthesiology Technician to join our medical team
• The ideal candidate will play a vital role in assisting anaesthesiologists and other medical professionals in providing safe and effective patient care during surgical and medical procedures
• The Anesthesiology Technician will be responsible for preparing equipment, monitoring patients, and ensuring the smooth operation of anesthesia procedures

Responsibilities:

• Assist anesthesiologists and nurses in preparing patients for anesthesia administration
• Set up and calibrate anesthesia equipment, including monitors, ventilators, and intravenous lines
• Prepare and administer medications under the guidance of licensed healthcare professionals
• Monitor patient vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and end-tidal CO2 levels during procedures
• Assist with airway management, intubation, and extubation procedures
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient comfort and safety throughout procedures
• Respond quickly and effectively to any changes in patient condition or equipment malfunction
• Maintain accurate records of procedures, medications administered, and patient responses
• Keep the anaesthesia workspace clean and organized, ensuring the availability of necessary supplies and equipment
• Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment
• Assist with patient transport and positioning as required
• Provide support during emergencies and resuscitation efforts as needed
• Stay updated on advancements in anesthesia technology and techniques
• Participate in training and continuing education to enhance skills and knowledge.
