Role Overview:
The Analyst is responsible for assisting in analyzing the business for strategic planning and trading the business to drive sales for Dover Street Market New York, Dover Street Market Los Angeles, and Comme des Garçons.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist with key reporting to monitor daily, weekly, monthly, and end-of-season sales performance and sell-through targets

Run and distribute month-end reports for HR and Finance

Perform business analysis and recommend courses of action to Merchandising and Store teams to drive profitable sales, with Planner’s oversight

Assist with high-level business recaps to be presented to the leadership team

Analyze sales and sell-through to assist with OTB and budget decisions

Monitor inventory and sell through to ensure merchandise is in the most productive channel in collaboration with the Merchandising team

Organize raw data to support the Planner in key projects such as forecasting and reorders

Creation of selling recaps in preparation for Market

Document preparation for seasonal changeover and markdown period

Collaborates closely with the store and other departments to drive desired results
Key Skills and Qualifications:

Prior retail planning and merchandising experience a plus

Broad experience and high level of proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas)

Excellent Knowledge of Retail Systems (Retail Pro experience a plus)

Excellent communication skills

Strong analytical and conceptual skills with exceptional retail math acumen and ability to evaluate and interpret data
