The Central Operations Analyst plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity and effectiveness of the bank’s operational activities by performing ongoing monitoring and review across a wide range of banking functions. This back-office position is primarily responsible for supporting online banking systems, trouble shooting and resolving operational issues, and collaborating with teams to implement new services. The position also provides backup support during critical initiatives to help maintain operational efficiency.
Essential Job Functions

Review daily overdraft, hold, and monetary instrument records for compliance with bank policy and regulatory requirements.

Manage and monitor EFT dispute cases to ensure prompt resolution, including the review and processing of extended return timeframe requests.

Monitor incoming ACH contested and dishonored returns, DNEs and government reclamations and work with internal teams to resolve.

Research and reconcile deposit-related GL and settlement account transactions, identifying discrepancies and coordinating corrective entries as needed. Review online banking user and parameter maintenance such as limit changes, user updates, alerts and bulletin messaging.

Work with clients and internal partners to ensure successful rollouts of new online banking services and system conversions.

Monitor fraud reports related to online banking, Bill Pay, check clearing, incoming ACH and other payment systems. Work with internal partners to resolve suspicious or fraudulent transactions.

Troubleshoot consumer online banking issues and outages. Engage with cross-department partners to pursue resolutions from online banking, payment and core banking providers when online and digital banking issues require escalation or in-depth investigation and testing.

Provides back-up and support for Central Operations functions such as account reconciliations, reviewing bank control records and other department tasks as needed.

Manage the retrieval and preparation of audit documentation to support internal and external audit engagements on an ongoing basis, ensuring timely and accurate record delivery.

Monitor the Risk Review application daily to identify, assess and escalate potential fraudulent check activity.

Monitor dormant and inactive accounts, notify account and instrument holders of pending escheatment events, file abandoned property to appropriate authorities as required by state authorities.
Preferred Qualifications

College Degree or Certificate, preferred

Two years pf previous bank operations experience

Ability to deal with escalated issues from internal and external customers

Must be familiar with consumer online banking and payments platform administration.

Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, and effectively communicate with customers and other bank personnel.
