Analyst, Corporate Communications (UAEN)

Job Purpose:

Support the DFSA’s Corporate Affairs Strategy & Plan by assisting with the delivery of a range of external, internal, digital, social & rich media, events, and thought leadership activities, supporting the evolution of the function, driving output, performance, creativity and innovation


Key Responsibilities:

Media Relations & Social Media

  • Contribute to the development of content for social media platforms, including drafting posts, creating graphics, film-based content and scheduling updates.
  • Assist in executing social campaigns and engaging with followers to foster community integration.
  • Assist in creating and distributing press releases, media materials, and other communications to secure media coverage.
  • Help maintain and update media contact lists and assist in building relationships with journalists and media representatives.
  • Support the monitoring and analysis of media coverage and social media metrics to track performance and trends.
  • Provide administrative support for media and social media activities, including organising media events, tracking media mentions and overseeing email mailboxes and folders.


Internal Communications & Digital:

  • Assist in the implementation of internal communications projects, programmes and campaigns including creation and management of digital content for internal platforms, to keep employees informed and engaged.
  • Create, edit, distribute internal communications materials, including company updates via newsletters and announcements.
  • Assist in managing and maintaining the company’s internal communications platforms, such as intranet, internal social networks, events and digital bulletin services.


Strategic Communications & Content Creation:

  • Assist in creating and editing content for various formats including blog posts, social media updates, website, and marketing materials.
  • Conduct research to generate ideas and gather information for content creation.
  • Assist in proofreading and editing content for ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to style guidelines.
  • Support the development and initiatives of content strategies, editorial and event calendars.
  • Ensure adherence to DFSA Brand Guidelines for any external or internal communication material created by the DFSA.


Event Management:

  • Assist in the planning, coordination and logistics of events, e.g. staff iftar and end of year celebration including scheduling, venue selection, content development, vendor management, tracking expenses, set-up, registration, and onsite co-ordination.
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of event materials, such as invitations, programmes and signage.
  • Provide on-site support during events, addressing any issues that may arise and ensuring a positive experience for attendees.
  • Assist with post event activities, including evaluation, feedback collection, and reporting.


Translation:

  • Support the review of either editing or translating content from English to Arabic and vice versa, ensuring consistent tone and clear messaging in both languages.
  • Ensure final reviews and signoff prior to publication to guarantee error-free and superior content.


Corporate Affairs Team Support:

  • Provide in time effective manner, administrative services for Corporate Affairs, including business cards, corporate stationary etc, managing email boxes, raising purchase order numbers, scheduling meetings, and processing invoices etc.


Eligibility Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field
  • Preference will be given to UAE National candidates.


Minimum Experience:

  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in communications or public relations.
  • Newly graduates can also be considered for this role.


Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong knowledge of content creation, editing and proofreading skills in both the English and Arabic language.
  • Knowledge of social media content planning and development
  • An efficient, well organised team player, who can work independently. A quick learner, with excellent communication and organisational skills, who is highly proactive, and able to keep confidentiality, carries a professional with a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Creative, with a knowledge media production, communication, and dissemination techniques, ideally, with experience of design, film making and rich, media production.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
