About the Office of Advancement

The Office of Advancement is undergoing a bold transformation to support LAU’s most ambitious philanthropic era. Under the leadership of a newly appointed Vice President for Advancement—who works closely with LAU’s new President and travels regularly between Beirut, New York, and key global regions—the office is being restructured to align with the university’s capital campaign and long-term strategic goals.

The Advancement division includes a highly capable CRM/Data Analytics team that ensures the integrity, usability, and strategic application of donor and alumni data to support fundraising, engagement, and stewardship.

Position Summary

The Advancement Data Analyst is primarily responsible for supporting the Office of Advancement’s CRM and analytics operations, ensuring data accuracy, reporting consistency, and actionable insights that strengthen fundraising, prospects, and donor engagement.

The Advancement Data Analyst works closely with the Data Analytics Manager to maintain high-quality records, build reports and dashboards, and contribute to the university’s capital campaign analytics. In addition, the role requires familiarity with technical tools and integrations to support data workflows and system operations within the advancement environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform regular data entry, updates, and quality checks in Raiser’s Edge NXT.

· Support the deduplication, segmentation, and validation of alumni, donor, and prospect records.

· Import data, support integrations, and cleanup from external systems.

· Monitor data hygiene metrics and flag inconsistencies or gaps for correction.

· Analyze and interpret advancement metrics and KPIs.

· Translate findings into charts, pivot tables and PowerPoint formats to be used in strategic reports.

· Build and update dashboards, reports, and queries to support campaign performance tracking, alumni outreach, and stewardship.

· Prepare lists and segmentations for events, appeals, and communication campaigns.

· Support analysis for donor retention, pipeline growth, and portfolio management.

· Run basic SQL queries to extract, validate, and reconcile data from the advancement database in support of reporting requests.

· Assist in maintaining and refreshing existing Power BI dashboards by updating data connections and report parameters as needed.

· Assist in monitoring data integration workflows between Raiser's Edge NXT and connected systems, flagging errors or discrepancies for resolution.

· Support testing and validation of data imports and exports during system updates or new integrations.

· Contribute to the creation of documentation and guides for recurring reports and CRM workflows.

· Work closely with Alumni Relations, Communications, and Gift Processing to align data and reporting needs.

· Respond to internal data and reporting requests under the guidance of the Manager.

· Ensure compliance with institutional policies and legal standards related to data privacy, security, and accessibility.

· Participate in process improvement initiatives and testing of new CRM tools or enhancements.

· Perform other duties pertinent to this job as assigned by the direct supervisor.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.

· Minimum 2 years of experience in data analytics, CRM administration, or a related field.

· Proficiency with Raiser’s Edge NXT or comparable CRM platforms.

· Demonstrated experience using data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and Python.

· Basic familiarity with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools for building dashboards and reports.

· Awareness of REST API concepts and data integration workflows.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong MS Office skills.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining data integrity.

· Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

· Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.

· Analytical and problem-solving mindset with eagerness to learn.

· Collaborative and proactive team player with a service-oriented approach.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
