Analyst, Global Investment Team

500 Global is a venture capital firm deploying capital across early-stage accelerators to growth investments, with a global footprint spanning 80+ countries. As part of the Global Investment Team, you’ll contribute to the firm’s mission of uplifting founders and economies through entrepreneurship. You’ll work alongside experienced investors, participate in deal sourcing and evaluation, and help translate market signals into actionable insights that inform investment decisions. The role blends rigorous financial analysis with strategic thinking, across a portfolio of startups and growth-stage opportunities, within a fast-paced, globally connected team.

What You’ll Do

• Identify and evaluate promising startups across markets and sectors, with a focus on scalable business models and compelling value propositions.
• Support deal execution by building financial models, assessing business plans, and preparing investment memos for internal review and partner discussions.
• Research emerging industries, map ecosystems, analyze competitive landscapes, and help identify clear investment themes and theses.
• Monitor portfolio performance, track KPIs, and surface actionable insights to help portfolio companies grow and succeed.
• Develop dashboards and automate reporting; partner with Data and IT teams to improve analytics systems and data governance.
• Maintain databases of startups, co-investors, and follow-on financing opportunities to strengthen deal intelligence and collaboration across the network.
  
  

Required Skills & Experience

Candidates should have a strong foundation in finance, strategy, or operations, with hands-on experience in high-growth environments. You’ll be comfortable turning data into insights and communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The role requires intellectual curiosity, intellectual humility, high integrity, and a collaborative mindset that values teamwork and transparency.

Required: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; two+ years of experience in a high-growth startup, consulting, strategy, or finance role; advanced proficiency in Salesforce and technical ability to translate data into actionable insights; strong analytical and modeling skills; excellent written and verbal communication; proactive, detail-oriented, and adaptable; demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion; team-first attitude and humility.

Desirable Qualifications

Passion for startup ecosystems and emerging trends; experience building tools or systems that enhance team efficiency; comfort thriving in dynamic, in-person collaborative settings; track record of creating scalable processes or dashboards; cross-functional collaboration experience with product, engineering, and data teams.
