About the Role
We are looking for a Marine Claims Analyst who will handle and process claims related to marine operations such as demurrage, cargo shipping, import/export documentation, and port activities. The role involves analyzing contracts, coordinating with third parties, managing receivables, and ensuring timely closure of claims.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and process marine-related claims (Demurrage, Cargo Claims, Shipping/Marine Insurance).
- Review contracts, documents, and events to calculate and prepare claims accurately.
- Follow up with third parties for claim updates and issue invoices for receivable claims.
- Escalate any critical issues to the supervisor or business line.
- Develop and review control reports to ensure claims are submitted within contract timelines.
- Respond to claim-related queries from customers, affiliates, and management.
- Track and manage overdue/aged claims and ensure timely closure.
- Follow up on outstanding invoices with counterparties.
- Suggest process improvements and highlight contract-related issues.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Business Administration, Logistics, Maritime Studies).
- Diploma/Certification in Maritime Law or Chartering (added advantage).
- 3–4 years of experience in marine claims, logistics, or shipping documentation.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and interpretation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
- Ability to negotiate with third parties professionally.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good understanding of marine/shipping terminology and operations.
- Knowledge of compliance requirements (Anti-trust, approval guidelines).
- Team player with good interpersonal skills.
- Proactive and able to manage deadlines effectively.

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per year
