Job Summary

Nassau Global Credit (“NGC”) is an institutional credit manager focused on tradable markets with a bottom- up fundamental approach to investing, leveraging our industry expertise and active portfolio management. NGC is headquartered in New York, with offices in Connecticut and London, and manages $8bn across securitized, total return, and opportunistic credit. This role is role based in New York City with four or more days in the office.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Daily:

  • Trade booking and settlements:
  • Support Portfolio Manager/Director of Operations in daily execution of trades, and booking into our Order Management System and arranging optimized financing
  • Work with trade counterparties to draft trade documents including final trade pricing
  • Coordinate closing with counterparty on settlement date, including coordination of cash movement to/from NGC bank accounts
  • AML/KYC onboarding with trading counterparties
  • Allocations and Trade Compliance
  • Maintain and distribute daily trade blotter and allocations
  • Assist in the implementation and ongoing oversight of trade allocations and compliance program, including optimizing financing of the portfolio under the direction of the Head of Operations/Treasury
  • Coordinating with portfolio management team on pre-trade and post-trade compliance
  • Systems maintenance
  • Maintain the portfolio in NGC Order Management Systems and Accounting Systems ensuring accurate reporting
  • Cash and position Reconciliation
  • Maintain internal cash and position recons by identifying and clearing breaks for all funds
  • Assist with inquiries from external parties such as trade counter parties, fund administrators, or leverage providers.
  • Ad hoc administrative tasks: Coordinate with other teams internally and externally to facilitate daily transactional activity and provide various types of information/documentation such as tax forms, organizational structure information, asset positions data, etc. as needed

Monthly/Quarterly:

  • Lender reporting: Draft portfolio reporting as required by NGC credit facility agreements. This report includes current positions data along with attributes of the underlying obligors that are used to calculate the facility borrowing base and other facility metrics.
  • Internal Reporting: prepare internal trading and performance reporting for quarterly Trade Review Committee as well as assist in preparing materials for quarterly NGC Board Meetings.

Annual:

  • Valuation Process
  • Support NGC finance team with respect to audited financial statement reporting

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or finance.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
  • Proficient with computer software programs such as Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.

The base salary for this position falls within Nassau’s salary band D: $55,000-$80,000 depending upon experience.
