Analyst, Retail Execution

The Analyst, Retail Execution will play a vital role in driving excellence in retail setup, promotional execution, and in-store compliance for the No7 Walgreens Business Team. Working under the direct leadership of the Senior Manager, Retail & Merchandising Operations, this individual will receive guidance and mentorship to manage critical operational processes. This role is responsible for managing item setup, coordinating planogram and promotional submissions, and tracking execution across key retailer systems.


This position requires a detail-oriented individual who is highly organized, analytical, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with experience in retail operations, systems coordination, and performance reporting.


This is a hybrid position , requiring in-office presence at least three days per week in either the Chicago or Deerfield office, in addition to key company events.



Key Responsibilities


Retail Setup & Execution

  • Manage end-to-end item setup across internal and external retailer systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Coordinate and submit planogram (POG) and Visual Store Implementation (VSI) files, including VSF documentation, in alignment with key seasonal resets and brand strategies.
  • Support promotional execution across Walgreens systems and internal processes, ensuring flawless and on-time submissions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Walgreens Merchandising to support the seamless execution of item and promotional launches.
  • Support broader Retail and Merchandising Operations initiatives, including in-store events and seasonal merchandising activations.


Executional Performance & Compliance

  • Monitor and track store-level execution metrics to ensure compliance with merchandising and promotional plans.
  • Leverage data tools to identify and escalate executional issues, working cross-functionally to resolve discrepancies.
  • Analyze execution gaps to identify root causes and report findings to support process improvements
  • Support internal auditing processes to ensure alignment with planned activations and compliance standards.


Reporting & Systems Coordination

  • Develop and maintain weekly and monthly reporting dashboards to track performance of in-store and promotional execution.
  • Coordinate across internal systems and retailer portals to manage item lifecycles and promotional timelines.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and timelines for item setup, submissions, and execution activities.
  • Assist in the continuous improvement of retail execution processes through reporting insights and stakeholder feedback.


A bit about you…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field.
  • At least 2+ years of experience in retail operations, merchandising, or execution coordination, preferably in CPG or beauty.
  • Strong project management skills with a keen eye for detail and process optimization.
  • Proficient in working with retailer portals (e.g., Walgreens systems) and internal executional platforms.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills; experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and BI tools preferred.
  • Ability to manage shifting priorities while maintaining clear communication across teams.
  • Team-oriented, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver results on tight timelines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency in Blue Yonder Space Planning.
  • Flexibility to travel as required (5%).
