Definition
Incumbents will be assigned to the Technical and Surveillance Squad (TASS) and will perform a variety of technical and analytical work involving video management systems, computer networking, and surveillance system design and implementation in a law enforcement setting. Incumbents will work in support of Department projects and programs as they relate to the deployment of law enforcement technology utilized by Fusion Watch and the Southern Nevada Counter-Terrorism Center (SNCTC).
Distinguishing Characteristics
This position serves at the pleasure of the Sheriff and is not subject to the competitive requirements of the Civil Service Rules of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
Incumbents are assigned to the Homeland Security Division in the Southern Nevada Counter Terrorism Center (SNCTC) serving under the supervision of the Technical and Surveillance Squad (TASS) leadership.
