We are currently looking for an Analyst/Associate- Corporate Development for our Houston, TX office.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Position level of analyst/associate will be based on experience. This position is responsible for the following areas:
organic project valuation and acquisition support:- Primary activities include economic valuation and analysis of proposed organic projects for Boardwalk Pipelines
- Work collaboratively with commercial, system planning and engineering groups to understand project opportunity, assumptions, and key issues to develop a thorough economic analysis.
- Support acquisition activities including opportunity screening & research; target company financial review; market fundamentals analysis associated with target company industries; economic valuation of the target company; due diligence
- Preparation and communication of analytical work and investment approval documents to Boardwalk Senior Management.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:- Strong experience in financial valuation/analysis
- Strong analytical, logical and economic thinking skills
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills and the ability to collaborate with others.
- Proficient use of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to work under tight deadlines; ability to work with multiple groups and individuals to collect and validate information.
- 2-4 years of valuation experience
PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:- Two+ years of experience in the energy industry (esp. natural gas)
REQUIRED EDUCATION:- Bachelor’s degree in finance, engineering, economics or applicable business-related discipline
