Analyst/Senior Analyst - Financial Operations

About the Role

The Analyst/ Senior - Financial Operations is responsible for partnering closely with the Senior Manager - Financial Operations to ensure the Astrana Health team and processes are effective, efficient, and consistently helping to drive a culture of improvement and change. This position also collaborates with internal stakeholders and senior leadership to support needs for financial and operating analysis, insights and decision making.


What You'll Do


  • Take the lead in monthly financial reporting preparation, management reports and key performance indicator (KPIs)
  • Perform financial analysis, which includes ROI assessments, cost-benefit analysis, and variance analysis to enhance strategic decision-making
  • Collaborate with department heads, serving as their partner in understanding and addressing their financial requirements
  • Consistently dive into industry trends and best practices in strategic finance
  • Partner with other cross-functional teams to develop, support, and improve the systems, policies, and procedures necessary to drive efficiency and provide meaningful financial data
  • Analyze financial, operational, and accounting data to develop reports for various business segments and support decision-making
  • Utilize financial information and claims data to build out reporting and analytics to guide business decisions and improve business unit performance
  • Perform trend analyses to identify and implement opportunities to increase profitability for business leads

Qualifications


  • BA/BS degree required; MHA/MBA preferred
  • 1–2 years of business experience in the healthcare industry required; managed care experience preferred
  • Expertise in using Excel to drive analyses, identify issues, and solve problems
  • Proficiency with SQL, including core querying, joins, and CTEs
  • Familiarity with healthcare data and its nuances
  • Demonstrated track record of evaluating business performance and year-over-year growth
  • Collaborative style, with the ability to communicate technical concepts in a way that non-finance stakeholders can understand

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions


  • Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where the expectation is to work both in office and at home on a weekly basis. The office is located at 1668 S. Garfield Ave. 2nd Floor, Alhambra, CA 91801.
  • The total compensation target pay range for this role is: $95,000 - $110,000. This salary range represents our national target range for this role.
