Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Analytical Chemist to join our laboratory team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting complex chemical analyses, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and supporting quality control processes. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to innovative projects within a regulated environment, utilizing advanced analytical techniques and laboratory systems. The position requires a strong foundation in analytical chemistry, laboratory procedures, and regulatory compliance such as GLP, FDA regulations, and CGMP standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform chemical analyses using techniques such as spectroscopy, chromatography (gas chromatography and high-performance liquid chromatography), microscopy, and spectrophotometry.
  • Conduct wet chemistry experiments and prepare samples for testing in accordance with established protocols.
  • Calibrate laboratory instruments regularly to ensure accuracy and precision of results.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of experimental procedures, results, and quality control data within Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
  • Ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), FDA regulations, and CGMP standards during all testing procedures.
  • Support quality control processes by verifying the integrity of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
  • Assist in method development, validation, and troubleshooting analytical procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including microbiology and biochemistry departments to support comprehensive product testing.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to laboratory safety protocols and proper waste disposal practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or related scientific field.
  • Proven laboratory experience in analytical chemistry techniques such as spectroscopy, chromatography (GC/HPLC), microscopy, and spectrophotometry.
  • Strong understanding of GLP, FDA regulations, CGMP standards, and quality control processes.
  • Experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with calibration procedures for analytical instruments and routine maintenance tasks.
  • Knowledge of microbiology and biochemistry is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills for accurate record keeping.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
