Analytical Scientist

The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Analytical Scientist for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Indianapolis, IN. Details for the position are as follows:

• Pay: $40-45/hr.
• 12-month assignment with possibility for extension or conversion based on performance and budget.
  
  

Responsibilities:

• Execute pre-clinical research and development activities, including experimental design, testing, analysis, troubleshooting, and data interpretation to support product and process development.
• Plan and perform complex laboratory studies applying advanced scientific principles across analytical chemistry, electrochemistry, biosensors, in-vitro diagnostics, and biomedical engineering.
• Generate, analyze, and interpret data to support formulation development, analytical method development, and feasibility assessments for novel technologies.
• Evaluate and test emerging technologies as part of Research and Early Development scouting initiatives within the Diagnostics portfolio, including Diabetes Care.
• Maintain current knowledge of state-of-the-art scientific theories, methodologies, and industry trends to inform research strategies and innovation.
• Independently identify technical objectives, risks, and alternative solutions, contributing to sound decision-making and project advancement.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, engineering, and other stakeholders to support project execution and strategic research decisions.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related Life Sciences field with 5 years of relevant experience or Master of Science/PhD with 2 years of relevant experience required
• 2+ years of experience in, biomedical or analytical chemistry required
• 2+ years of experience in the field of biosensors highly preferred
• Experience in biosensors, electrochemistry, and analytical chemistry applied to in-vitro diagnostics (IVD) and biomedical engineering preferred
