Analytical Chemist III (Nutraceuticals & Pharmaceuticals)

We are partnered with an industry leader in nutraceutical manufacturing serving both human and animal health. Headquartered in Lancaster, South Carolina—about an hour from Charlotte—the company employs 750+ staff across two production plants and five additional facilities. They are known for rigorous quality standards, rapid growth, and a strong presence at major retailers such as Costco.

Experience Required

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry (Biochemistry, Inorganic, Physical, or Polymer Chemistry preferred), OR
• Master’s/Ph.D. in Chemistry with 3–5 years technical experience in a GMP environment.
• 5–7 years of analytical method development in nutraceutical and/or pharmaceutical products under cGMP.
• Intermediate/mid-level experience in method development of complex nutraceutical matrices/finished products.
• Experience in characterization and elucidation of botanical compound structures using spectroscopic methods and Mass spectrometry.
• Proficiency with instrumentation: FTIR, HPLC, ICP, QG, UV-Vis, LC-MS, GC-MS, ICP-MS, HPTLC.
• Strong troubleshooting skills on HPLC and GC.

Required: Proficiency in Empower chromatography acquisition database software.

• Strong foundation in laboratory techniques (titration, gravimetric methods, separation techniques, etc.).
• Ability to support product release as part of method development responsibilities.
• Knowledge of FDA and ICH guidelines to ensure compliance and maintain lab accreditations (ISO 17025, NSF).
