The Opportunity
At JVM, we are looking for a seasoned Analytics Engineer who wants to do more than build dashboards. This role is responsible for designing the data models, analytical frameworks, and forecasting tools that leadership relies on to make capital and operational decisions. You will partner directly with the Vice President of Revenue & Performance to transform complex business questions into structured data solutions that produce clear, actionable insight.

What You’ll Do
Build Scalable Data & Reporting Infrastructure
- Design and develop structured data models that power enterprise reporting
- Write analytical SQL to transform raw data into clean, reusable datasets
- Define and standardize key business metrics across teams
- Ensure reporting consistency across Finance, Operations, Marketing, and Asset Management
Develop Forecasting & Analytical Frameworks
- Build driver-based forecasting models across revenue and operational metrics
- Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis to support budgeting and capital planning
- Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analytical solutions
- Help shift the organization from retrospective reporting to forward-looking insight
Enable Business Intelligence
- Develop certified datasets that power BI dashboards (DOMO or comparable platforms)
- Reduce reliance on manual spreadsheets and ad hoc reporting
- Create scalable reporting solutions that support cross-functional teams
Partner Across the Business
- Work closely with the Vice President of Revenue & Performance on strategic analytics initiatives
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and Asset Management to build data-driven insights
- Communicate technical findings in clear, business-oriented language
- Identify opportunities to improve data structure, reporting, and analytical processes
Qualifications
Required
- 6+ years of experience in analytics engineering, business intelligence, or advanced analytics
- Strong SQL skills (joins, aggregations, CTEs, window functions)
- Experience with BI tools such as DOMO, Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
- Advanced Excel modeling and forecasting experience
- Experience working with structured data environments (data warehouse or similar)
- Ability to translate business problems into scalable analytical solutions
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present insights to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred
- Experience in multifamily real estate or asset-heavy industries
- Exposure to financial planning, budgeting, or FP&A processes
- Experience building analytics infrastructure in lean or evolving organizations
