As a Android Developer at [Company Name], you will play a key role in developing high-quality Android applications tailored to the healthcare industry. You will work closely with healthcare professionals, product managers, and design teams to create solutions that enhance patient care, optimize clinical workflows, and ensure data security and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of Android applications focused on healthcare solutions, ensuring they meet performance, security, and usability standards.
- Develop and maintain clean, efficient, and scalable code using Kotlin and/or Java.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement features, and ensure that applications meet user needs and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure applications comply with healthcare standards such as HIPAA and other relevant regulations.
- Mentor and guide junior developers, conducting code reviews and providing feedback to maintain high code quality.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in Android development and healthcare technology to drive innovation.
- Manage the full application lifecycle from development through deployment and maintenance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Android Developer, with a proven track record in developing and delivering healthcare-related applications.
- Advanced proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java.
- Strong understanding of the Android SDK, Android Studio, and relevant libraries and frameworks (e.g., Retrofit, Dagger, Room).
- Experience with healthcare standards, data privacy, and security regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and third-party libraries.
- Knowledge of modern Android development tools and practices (e.g., Jetpack Compose, MVVM architecture).
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Knowledge of mobile UI/UX design principles, particularly for healthcare applications.
- Experience with unit testing and test-driven development (TDD).
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and project management tools.
