Android Developer (Mobile) – Job Description

Role Overview
An Android Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining mobile applications for Android devices. The role involves working with product managers, designers, and backend developers to deliver high-quality, user-friendly mobile solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build advanced Android applications using Kotlin / Java.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
  • Identify and fix bugs, performance bottlenecks, and crashes.
  • Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party libraries/services.
  • Write unit tests and ensure application stability.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and usability.
  • Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
  • Publish and maintain apps on the Google Play Store.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of Android SDK, Android Studio, and mobile development lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java.
  • Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and third-party integrations.
  • Familiarity with Git version control.
  • Understanding of UI/UX principles and Material Design guidelines.
  • Experience with SQLite, Room Database, or Firebase.
  • Knowledge of debugging and performance optimization techniques.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with Jetpack components (ViewModel, LiveData, Navigation).
  • Knowledge of MVVM / Clean Architecture.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Flutter / React Native (optional but valued).
  • Experience integrating payment gateways, maps, or push notifications.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
