Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Android Developer to join our growing team at Selfdrive. As a core contributor to our mobile app development team, you’ll be at the forefront of building user-centric, scalable, and high-performing mobile applications that redefine the on-demand mobility experience. What You’ll Do:

• Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform using Kotlin and Java.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, UI/UX designers, backend developers, and QA teams to define and deliver new features.
• Maintain, improve, and refactor existing codebase to ensure scalability and performance.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed, responsiveness, and quality across devices and screen sizes.
• Implement modern architectural patterns (e.g., MVVM/MVP) to build robust and maintainable applications.
• Integrate third-party libraries, SDKs, APIs, and various sensors including GPS, Maps, and Notifications.
• Conduct code reviews, write unit and UI tests, and follow best practices in testing and deployment.
• Support the entire mobile application lifecycle – from concept and design to testing, release, and post-launch support.
• Diagnose performance bottlenecks, fix bugs, and ensure security and data protection.
• Handle inbound and outbound sales enquiries and convert them into confirmed reservations.
• Provide real-time support for queries related to bookings, pricing, vehicle types, availability, or service features.
• Ensure error-free and customer-aligned bookings to avoid cancellations.
• Manage and update lead tracking sheets, follow-up cycles, and status logs with precision.
• Ensure First Call Resolution (FCR) for all customer interactions and maintain high CSAT (Customer Satisfaction).

What We’re Looking For

Experience:

• 4+ years of hands-on Android development experience (Kotlin & Java).
• Proven portfolio of published apps on Google Play Store or contributions to open-source libraries.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Technical Skills:

• Strong grasp of Android SDK, Jetpack components, and modern UI/UX principles.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, local storage, Data Binding, and MVVM architecture.
• Hands-on experience with tools like Git, Gradle, Firebase, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with GPS, Geo-fencing, image processing, notifications, OCR, and cloud messaging APIs.
• Understanding of Material Design principles and Android interface guidelines.

Soft Skills:

• Analytical thinker with problem-solving aptitude.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Proactive and self-driven, with a focus on quality and delivery.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
