Android Developer (Kotlin + Jetpack Compose + Utility Apps)

Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Android Developer with a strong background in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should have proven experience in developing and optimizing utility apps, ensuring performance, scalability, and user-friendly design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Work specifically on utility apps with focus on usability, performance, and scalability.
• Implement REST API integrations using Retrofit/OkHttp.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to ensure visually appealing and functional designs.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following MVVM architecture.
• Debug, test, and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
• Optimize apps for performance, memory usage, and battery efficiency.
• Stay updated with the latest Android development trends and tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of hands-on experience in Android development.
• Strong command of Kotlin programming.
• Proficiency in Jetpack Compose and Material Design principles.
• Solid understanding of Jetpack components (Navigation, Room, DataStore, Lifecycle, WorkManager, etc.).
• Knowledge of REST APIs, Retrofit, and OkHttp.
• Experience in building and scaling utility apps.
• Familiarity with Coroutines, Flows, and Dependency Injection (Hilt or Koin preferred).
• Good understanding of Google Play Console processes and app optimization.
