Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-anesthetic evaluations and review patient medical histories
- Develop and implement anesthesia care plans appropriate to patient condition and procedure
- Administer general, regional, or local anesthesia as required
- Monitor patient vital signs and physiological status throughout procedures
- Manage airways, ventilation, and hemodynamic stability
- Respond promptly to anesthesia-related complications or emergencies
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Provide post-anesthesia care and pain management
- Ensure proper documentation of anesthesia records
- Maintain anesthesia equipment and ensure availability of medications and supplies
- Follow patient safety, infection control, and quality assurance standards
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree with specialization in Anesthesiology
- Valid professional license to practice anesthesia
- Current BLS, ACLS certification (PALS if required)
- Prior experience in a hospital or surgical setting preferred
- Knowledge of anesthesia pharmacology, physiology, and monitoring techniques
