Highlights
Summary
: The Anesthesia Technician shall render routine patient care procedures under the direct supervision of Anesthesia staff (MDA and CRNA) and shall be responsible for all the fluids and supplies needed for the care of patients as required for a general, epidural, spinal, or MAC anesthetics. This individual shall provide assistance with the induction of anesthesia in the OR suites; keeps all equipment clean, available, in working order and supplied for patients admitted to OR for anesthesia care. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.
Education / Experience
: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Completion of Nursing Assistant/Patient Care/ORA course preferred. Experience in hospital setting preferred.
License / Certification
: BLS required

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
: Position requires sitting for 5%, walking 70% and standing 15% of the workday.
There is occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
There is frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action.
Requires occasional lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 150 pounds or greater.
There is a continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person.
Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range.
Inside protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Minimal noise levels.
Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock.
Exposure to infectious disease while performing job-related tasks.
Some exposure to hazardous chemicals. Occasional exposure to radiation.
