Anesthesia Technician

Job Summary

An Anesthesia Technician assists anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists by preparing, maintaining, and monitoring anesthesia equipment and supplies to ensure safe and effective patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and check anesthesia machines, ventilators, monitors, and airway equipment before procedures
• Assist anesthesia providers during induction, maintenance, and recovery from anesthesia
• Set up IV lines, oxygen supplies, suction devices, and monitoring equipment
• Ensure availability of medications, gases, and emergency equipment
• Clean, disinfect, and restock anesthesia equipment according to infection control standards
• Troubleshoot and report malfunctioning equipment
• Assist with patient positioning and transport when required
• Maintain accurate records of equipment checks and supplies
• Comply with hospital safety policies and regulatory standards

Required Skills & Competencies

• Knowledge of anesthesia equipment and surgical procedures
• Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments
• Strong attention to detail and patient safety
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Basic understanding of human anatomy and physiology

Education & Qualifications

• Certificate or diploma in Anesthesia Technology or related field
• On-the-job training (may be required)
• Certification/licensure as per local healthcare regulations

Work Environment

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
