Animal Shelter Technician

The Humane Society of Charles County is looking to add adoption coordinator/kennel technician team members who understand that caring for animals is a tough but rewarding calling. Our team is dedicated to the physical & emotional health, medical treatment, cleanliness, and adoption of those lives in our care.

Team members must be compassionate and love animals; have reliable transportation; be able to work 9-6, weekends and holidays; be physically able to bend, stoop, and lift 50 pounds; and handle animals of all sizes and temperaments. Candidates with prior experience will learn all aspects of our shelter, including screening potential adopters, photographing/creating videos and creating animal profiles, and kennel sanitization. Team members also socialize animals through interactive play, exercise, and enrichment activities. Our team is never bored!
