Roles and Responsibilities

2D Animation Creation

• Create smooth and expressive 2D animations based on provided character designs and storyboards.
• Utilize tools like Adobe Animate, Toon Boom Harmony, Moho, or OpenToonz for animation creation.
• Produce high-quality frame-by-frame animations with fluid motion, timing, and transitions, while rigging characters and developing cut-out animations for efficient workflows.

Application of Animation Principles

• Apply the 12 principles of animation to create engaging and dynamic sequences.
• Integrate characters with backgrounds and layouts, adding parallax effects and camera movements to enhance depth and storytelling.

Storyboarding and Visual Planning

• Develop detailed storyboards to plan scenes, camera angles, and character movements.
• Apply creative transitions, visual effects, and dynamic sequences to elevate storytelling and visual engagement.

Collaboration and Alignment

• Collaborate with the cartoonist, writers, and other team members to ensure alignment with the creative vision.
• Handle basic sound design and synchronize animations with sound effects and voiceovers to deliver a cohesive final product.

Post-Production and Quality Assurance

• Utilize video editing tools like Adobe Premiere Pro or After Effects for post-production.
• Ensure animations meet high-quality standards by focusing on anatomy, proportions, character expressions, and visual storytelling.

Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies

Proficiency in Animation Software

• Expertise in 2D animation tools like Adobe Animate, Toon Boom Harmony, Moho, or OpenToonz, and knowledge of video editing tools for post-production.

Strong Understanding of Animation Techniques

• Mastery of traditional frame-by-frame animation techniques, rigging, and the ability to create relatable character movements, gestures, and expressions.

Visual and Artistic Skills

• A keen eye for composition, color theory, and visual storytelling, ensuring animations are visually compelling and aligned with the creative vision.

Sound Design Basics

• Basic knowledge of sound design and synchronization to integrate sound effects and voiceovers seamlessly into animations.

Attention to Detail and Time Management

• Excellent organizational skills to manage deadlines effectively while maintaining attention to detail throughout the animation process.
