POSITION TITLE: Anticipated Homebound Instructor for Instructional Support, Part-TIme, Up to 10 Hours per Week
QUALIFICATIONS:- Licensed Teacher Preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative problem-solving skills.

Successful prior experience working with students and adapting curriculum content to learner needs.

Knowledge of best practices in teaching and learning and the ability to apply these practices.

Commitment to the School District's mission and Strategic Plan.
REPORTS TO: Director of Student Support Services
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Homebound Tutor for Instructional Support works under the direction of the Director of Student Support Services and other school staff as appropriate. He/she will serve both special education and other students requiring homebound tutoring.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:-
Instruct individual students according to their defined education plans and/or identified needs.

Support special education and/or regular classroom teacher suggestions for instructional delivery.

Supervise students' progress as assigned.

Maintain a record of student performance and growth as directed by the Director of Student Support Services.

Administer content area tests as appropriate.

Communicate on a regular basis with the Director of Student Support Services and appropriate school staff members.

Attend basic staffing and IEP conferences as requested.

Serve as a liaison between the school and home during the time that any student is receiving homebound tutoring.

Participate in continuing professional development activities.

Assume other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Support Services.
EVALUATION: Performance in this position will be evaluated annually, in person and in writing, by the Director of Student Support Services consistent with the process described in the School Board/Support Staff Agreement; if the position exceeds 20 hours per week; otherwise, per current School Board Policy for Support Staff Personnel.
