Washington Township School District seeks a compassionate, skilled and dedicated Special Education Teacher to lead our Emotional Regulation Impairment (ERI) classroom serving elementary-aged students. The ERI program provides a structured, therapeutic, and supportive learning environment for students with emotional and behavioral needs who benefit from smaller class settings and individualized behavioral and academic support.

Qualifications:

• Valid NJ TOSD or Teacher of the Handicapped certification required
• Valid Elementary Education certification preferred
• Experience working with students with emotional/behavioral disabilities or in therapeutic settings preferred
• Strong understanding of behavior management systems, trauma-informed practices, and positive behavior supports
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status

Salary Range: $65,315 - $78,520
