AP Calculus BC Tutor

Job Description

Simplifi EDU is seeking experienced AP Calculus educators to work 1:1 with high school students in advanced mathematics, specifically AP Calculus BC.

This role is ideal for current or former AP Calculus BC classroom teachers who enjoy helping motivated students deepen their understanding of challenging math concepts and prepare for success in rigorous coursework and AP exams.

We provide tutors with the opportunity to work 1:1 with high school students in AP Calculus BC, guiding them through challenging material, building confidence, and developing real readiness for college-level work.

Who We’re Looking For

We are currently seeking Online AP Calculus BC Tutors with prior AP classroom teaching experience, or extensive experience preparing students specifically for the AP Calculus BC exam.

Key Responsibilities & Expectations

  • Scheduling & Attendance: Maintain a consistent weekly lesson schedule with students (1–1.5 hours per lesson).
  • Parent Communication: Clearly communicate student progress, challenges, and how to support students between lessons.
  • Lesson Documentation: Provide thorough session reports documenting what was covered and the steps being taken to improve performance.

Desired Availability

Candidates should be available for at least 8 lesson hours per week:

  • At least 3 weekdays, Monday through Friday, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm Pacific Time.
  • Available to tutor at least one day on the weekends.

Qualifications

  • AP Calculus BC classroom teaching experience (strongly preferred).
  • 3+ years of teaching or tutoring experience in AP Calculus BC.
  • Ability to explain advanced mathematical concepts clearly and patiently.
  • Experience motivating students through challenging material.
  • Familiarity with online teaching platforms and digital learning tools.
  • Experience working with students who have ADHD, dyslexia, or processing challenges.
  • A copy of your college transcript will be required prior to hiring. If unavailable, a copy of your college diploma is acceptable.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $40.00 per hour
