Responsibilities:

• Course Instruction: Teach AP English Language & Composition, helping students develop reading comprehension, critical thinking, and analytical writing skills.
• Lesson Planning: Design structured lesson plans based on the AP curriculum to ensure students are well-prepared for the exam.
• Academic Support: Provide personalized guidance and feedback tailored to students’ individual needs.
• Test Preparation: Develop practice exams and exercises to familiarize students with the AP exam format and scoring criteria.
• Student Assessment & Feedback: Regularly evaluate students’ progress and offer constructive feedback to improve their writing and analytical skills.
• Parent Communication: Keep parents informed about their child's progress and offer study recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in English, Education, Literature, or a related field.
• Teaching Experience: At least 1 year of experience teaching AP English Language & Composition, with a proven track record of student success preferred.
• Subject Knowledge: Strong understanding of AP exam structure, scoring criteria, and test strategies.
• Teaching Skills: Ability to engage students in critical thinking and improve their argumentative writing skills.
• Communication: Strong ability to provide clear instructions and feedback to students and parents.
• Commitment: Passionate about education, responsible, and dedicated to helping students achieve their academic goals.
• Language Proficiency: Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills; bilingual proficiency (English/Chinese) is a plus.
