A&P Mechanic

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated A&P (Airframe and Powerplant) Mechanic to join our dynamic aviation maintenance team. Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and overhauls on aircraft airframes, engines, and systems in accordance with FAA regulations and company standards.
  • Utilize schematics, CAD drawings, AutoCAD files, and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately and execute precise repairs.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on complex mechanical or electrical failures to identify underlying problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, ohmmeters, ammeters, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to ensure parts meet strict specifications.
  • Fabricate or modify sheet metal components using welding, soldering, power tools, hand tools, and heavy lifting techniques while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for compliance and tracking purposes.
  • Ensure all work complies with industry standards such as AS9100 quality management system requirements for aerospace manufacturing and maintenance.
  • Assist in the assembly of aircraft components using schematics and CAD models while ensuring precision fitment and structural integrity.
  • Perform equipment repair on specialized tools such as power tools, welding units, soldering stations, and calibration instruments like micrometers or calipers.
  • Support avionics troubleshooting involving electrical systems by applying electrical experience and understanding Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) governing aircraft maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification is required; prior experience in aviation maintenance strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in aircraft or vehicle maintenance environments.
  • Proficiency in reading schematics, technical drawings (CAD), and wiring diagrams; experience with AutoCAD is a plus.
  • Strong electrical experience including troubleshooting using multimeters (ohmmeters), ammeters, voltmeters, and other precision instruments.
  • Knowledge of aviation industry standards such as AS9100 quality management system requirements; familiarity with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) is essential.
  • Experience working with manufacturing processes including fabrication of sheet metal parts using welding or soldering techniques.
  • Ability to operate a coordinate measuring machine (CMM), calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments accurately.
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting equipment, and safety procedures related to aircraft maintenance tasks.
  • Familiarity with military standards or protocols related to aviation or vehicle maintenance is advantageous but not mandatory.

Pay: $18.00 - $40.00 per hour
