Part-Time AP Science Workshop Instructor – Rowland Heights, CA

An established private preparatory school in Rowland Heights, California is seeking a charismatic and committed science instructor for a part-time teaching position focused on advanced high school Science and AP-level content. Class is held Monday and Wednesday from 4 pm to 6 pm.

Role Overview:

The instructor will:

• Support students with their school-assigned homework, ensuring accuracy and understanding
• Help students prepare for quizzes and exams, reinforcing key concepts and problem-solving strategies
• Connect classroom instruction with AP exam content to promote college readiness and testing success

Subjects of Expertise:

The ideal candidate should be fluent in the following topics:

• AP Biology
• AP Chemistry
• AP Physics
• AP Environmental Science

Position Details:

• Class Size: Fewer than 15 students
• Curriculum: Fully provided
• Schedule: Monday and Wednesdays
• Class times: 4:00–6:00 PM
• Commitment: January 5, 2026 to May 29, 2026

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Minimum 6 months of teaching
• Strong classroom management skills
• Preferred: Single Subject Science Credential or Preliminary Teaching Credential
• Experience working with middle school and/or high school students
