AP/AR Associate - Quickbooks

AP/AR Associate Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site / Hybrid Department: Accounting & Finance Industry: Luxury Residential Construction

Position Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented AP/AR Associate to join the accounting team at a premier luxury home builder. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their accounting career who wants hands-on experience supporting the financial operations of high-end residential construction projects. You will work directly with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure accurate and timely processing of all payables and receivables in QuickBooks.

Key Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices, subcontractor billings, and construction-related expenses in QuickBooks
• Manage full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve billing discrepancies promptly
• Generate and send client invoices tied to project milestones and draw schedules
• Post and apply incoming payments to open accounts receivable
• Follow up on past-due balances and maintain a collections log
• Assist with job costing and project-based expense tracking
• Collect and maintain subcontractor W-9s, lien waivers, and vendor agreements
• Support month-end close and assist in generating project financial reports
• Communicate professionally with luxury vendors, subcontractors, and clients

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of AP/AR, bookkeeping, or accounting experience preferred; motivated recent graduates welcome
• Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop or Online) required
• Experience in construction or project-based accounting a plus
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

Pay: $53,500.00 - $60,000.00 per year
