Apartment Community Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Apartment Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of Fair Housing regulations, and the ability to maintain positive relationships with residents and staff. This role requires a proactive approach to property management, ensuring that all aspects of the apartment community are running smoothly and efficiently.

Duties

• Manage all aspects of property operations, including leasing, maintenance, and tenant relations.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and other relevant laws.
• Handle legal administrative tasks related to contracts and tenant agreements.
• Negotiate lease terms and renewals with prospective and current tenants.
• Maintain accurate records through data entry and filing systems using OneSite software.
• Oversee property maintenance activities, ensuring timely repairs and upkeep of the premises.
• Address tenant inquiries and concerns promptly, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
• Conduct regular inspections of the property to ensure standards are met.
• Collaborate with maintenance staff to coordinate repairs and improvements.

Experience

• Proven experience in property management or a related field is preferred.
• Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations and legal aspects of property management is essential.
• Proficient in using property management software such as OneSite for data entry and record keeping.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to resolve conflicts effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on professional phone etiquette.
• Experience in property maintenance or familiarity with maintenance processes is a plus.
• Manages the compliance aspects of affordable housing programs, including Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC).

Pay: $39,520.00 - $45,760.00 per year
