Apartment Leasing Consultant

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Leasing Consultant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the leasing process for our residential properties, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations, and providing exceptional customer service to prospective tenants. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales skills, a thorough understanding of landlord-tenant law, and experience with property management software such as Yardi or OneSite.

Responsibilities

• Conduct property tours and showcase available units to prospective residents.
• Assist in the leasing process by preparing and reviewing contracts and lease agreements.
• Maintain accurate records of prospect applications, leases, and property maintenance requests.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving conflicts in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant laws.
• Utilize customer relationship management tools to track leads and follow up with potential renters.
• Collaborate with the property management team to ensure properties are well-maintained and meet resident expectations.
• Engage in upselling strategies to maximize occupancy rates.
• Perform data entry tasks related to leasing activities and maintain organized filing systems.
• Assist with administrative duties as needed, including phone etiquette and office management tasks.

Requirements

• Proven experience in property leasing or property management is preferred.
• Experience with Yardi, OneSite, or similar property management software is advantageous.
• Understanding of fair housing laws and regulations governing rental properties.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building relationships with residents.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in data entry and filing tasks.
• Social Media skills and knowledge of newsletters is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
