Apartment Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team.

The ideal maintenance technician will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the functionality and safety of our facilities. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, regular attendance, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining our communities and providing exceptional customer service.

Duties

Apartment Maintenance Technician will:

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities.
• Perform repairs on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, appliances and other mechanical systems.
• Drywall repair / installation, Finish Work, Carpentry
• Complete Resident work order requests accurately and efficiently. Document work completed on work order request. Strong record keeping skills necessary
• Provide exceptional customer service to our Residents
• Perform all duties required to ready the apartment home for the next resident
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and ensure minimal disruption to operations.

Requirements

This is not an entry level position - Prior experience in Apartment / Facility Maintenance is required.

• Must be willing to participate in the on-call rotation; Covering evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems.
• Proficiency in English for effective communication with team members and customers.
• Must be a team player with exceptional communication skills and the ability to work closely with Property Managers
• Familiarity with electrical systems and the ability to use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
• Knowledge of residential painting techniques
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on tenant satisfaction.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.

Pay: $23.50 - $25.00 per hour

Experience:

• Apartment Maintenance: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• HVAC Certification (Preferred)
