Apartment Maintenance Technician/Make Ready

We are searching for Maintenance Technician for our beautiful community located in Pflugerville, TX. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing repairs that may include, but are not limited to, HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, and general carpentry work related to household, building, and property groundskeepers.

Qualifications/Required Experience

• Available to work on-call during nights/weekends and Company events
• Turn apartments in a timely manner
• Respond quickly to deficiencies found in preventative maintenance inspections.
• Perform daily property walk
• Communicate daily with the property Maintenance Supervisor on requests, supply needs etc.
• Perform routine building maintenance duties, such as painting, minor carpentry, plumbing, minor electrical, HVAC drain pumps, and changing and repairing ballasts and bulbs
• Clean and maintain the interior and exterior of building or facility using the appropriate chemicals, while adhering to proper usage guidelines
• Create, prioritize, manage, and complete work order requests.
• Maintain and perform scheduled routine and preventive maintenance, such as testing and inspecting the operation of equipment.
• Ensure the interior and exterior of the building and property is free of hazards
• Stock and restock supplies, inventory, and equipment
• Other duties and special projects as assigned
• Adhere to and stay current on all applicable building codes, safety standards and fair housing laws.
• Deliver excellent customer service.
• HVAC and plumbing- 1 year preferred
• Apartment Maintenance- 2 years preferred
• HVAC and CPO certifications preferred
• Must be able to move, carry, reposition, or lift items weighting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, scaffolds, and ability to navigate elevation changes while maintaining balance.
• Frequent need to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, push/pull, and ability to navigate difficult terrain and access small areas.
