API Tester (Contract Role)

Work Location: Remote

We are looking for a proactive API Tester with hands-on experience in REST API validation, JSON analysis, and basic authentication testing. This is a short-term contract role suitable for someone who can join immediately and work independently.
Key Responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Independently manage end-to-end API testing for assigned projects while contributing effectively as part of a team.
• Validate JSON/XML payloads, HTTP methods, response codes, and API schemas to ensure adherence to specifications.
• Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve API-related issues.
• Prepare and maintain clear documentation of test cases, test results, defects, and related findings using tools such as Google Docs, Google Sheets, and ClickUp.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, and request/response flows.
• Hands-on experience with Postman and JSON/XML validation techniques.
• Good debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with API authentication protocols
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience using documentation and task management tools.
• Experience: 2–3 years

Additional Requirements:

• Working Hours: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Contract: 3 months (Extended)
• Joining: Immediate (within 1 day)
• Requirement: Must have own laptop.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
