Apigee Integration Engineers (Senior Consultant / Consultant)

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with strong hands-on experience in NodeJS, MongoDB, Kafka, and Oracle Cloud (OKE). The role focuses on building and optimizing scalable microservices and API-driven solutions that power critical enterprise integrations and digital platforms. The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation in microservices architecture, API design, and event-driven systems, with the ability to develop secure, high-performance, and resilient backend components. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and optimize microservices and APIs using NodeJS and Express.js frameworks.

Implement event-driven architecture and real-time data pipelines leveraging Kafka. Develop scalable database schemas and efficient queries using MongoDB. Deploy, manage, and monitor services on Oracle Cloud (OKE) or equivalent Kubernetes-based platforms. Integrate microservices with internal and external systems using RESTful APIs and message brokers.

Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and performance optimization across backend systems. Work closely with architecture, DevOps, and QA teams to enable CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments. Apply secure coding practices, logging, and monitoring for improved system observability. Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and optimize system reliability.

Required Skills & Experience 612 years of experience in backend development and distributed systems. Strong hands-on expertise in: NodeJS, Express.js, and TypeScript (preferred) MongoDB data modeling, performance tuning, and aggregation frameworks Kafka producers, consumers, topics, partitions, and message streaming Oracle Cloud (OKE) container orchestration and deployment Deep understanding of microservices architecture, SOA principles, and REST API design. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Git-based CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with API Gateway / management platforms (e.g., Apigee, Kong).

Strong grasp of cloud-native design patterns, scalability, and resilience engineering. Knowledge of observability tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana) is a plus. Preferred Qualifications Certification in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or Kubernetes. Exposure to microservice security, OAuth2, and OpenAPI (Swagger) documentation.

Experience with event sourcing or CQRS patterns. Prior experience in financial services, payments, or integration-heavy domains.
