Position Summary
In a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment, contributes professional and clinical expertise to assigned patient populations to ensure the delivery of high quality care. Scope of practice will encompass:
Expert clinical practice
Expert guidance
Research
Leadership (clinical, professional, and systems)
Education
Graduate of an accredited physician assistant program as determined by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation. Current Certification from the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Hold a valid, current New Jersey Physician Assistant licensure.
OR
Education and Accreditation or a current Registered Professional Nurse and Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program/Masters in Nursing.
Current Certification for Advanced Practice Nurses a current Certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and Registered Nurse First Assist (RFNA) certification if assisting in OR. Hold a valid, current New Jersey license.
Qualifications
Board certified and credentialed as an Advanced Practice Nurse (PNP or FNP) or Physician Assistant in the State of New Jersey.
Requires both New Jersey and New York Licensure to remain current.
Obtain a New Jersey CDS and federal DEA certificate upon employment if not already covered.
Evidence of excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, and creative problem solving.

Dual System Training: This role requires training and proficiency in both the Valley System EMR (Athena / Meditech) and Mount Sinai Hospitals EMR System (EPIC)
Cross-Site Coverage: The APP will provide cross-coverage at Mount Sinai Hospital, requiring travel to New York City a minimum of approximately one day a week.
Participation in pertinent professional and/or specialty organizations.
Develops and maintains annually a Collaborative Agreement /Joint Protocol or Supervisory/Delegation Agreement with the Collaborating/ Supervising Physician
BCLS/ PALS certification
Maintains specialty related certifications.
Salary
Minimum new grad base salary $131,000 K. Salary commensurate with years of experience as an NP/PA.
Generous w RVU production incentive.
Ability to earn up to 5% quality incentive
