App Store Optimization (ASO) Specialist

We are seeking a data-driven and results-oriented ASO Specialist with extensive experience in the mobile app ecosystem to lead our organic growth strategy. This role is strictly focused on our portfolio of non-gaming applications (E-commerce/SaaS/Utility). You will be responsible for scaling visibility and conversion rates across the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, with a heavy emphasis on iOS optimization and App Store Connect mastery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct deep-dive keyword research and competitive analysis to dominate high-intent, high-traffic terms for app titles, subtitles, and descriptions.
  • Lead the strategy for the iOS 16/17+ ecosystem, including the management of Custom Product Pages (CPPs) and In-App Events (IAEs) to drive organic discovery.
  • Design and execute rigorous A/B testing frameworks for icons, screenshots, and preview videos using Google Play Experiments and App Store Connect (Product Page Optimization).
  • Manage the localization of metadata and creative assets for international markets, ensuring cultural relevance and local keyword dominance.
  • Monitor and report on KPIs, including organic installs, keyword velocity, and Impressions-to-Install (CVR). Translate complex data into actionable briefs for the Product team.
  • Implement frameworks to improve app ratings and handle user feedback loops to maintain a 4.5+ star store reputation.
  • Partner with Design and Product teams to ensure visual assets align with brand identity while adhering to the technical constraints of the stores.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3–4 years of dedicated App Store Optimization experience, specifically for non-gaming mobile apps.
  • Expert-level proficiency in App Store Connect. You must understand how Apple’s algorithm differs from Google’s, particularly regarding the keyword field and the impact of Apple Search Ads (ASA) on organic ranking.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard tools such as AppTweak, Sensor Tower, MobileAction, or App Radar.
  • Deep understanding of Google Play Console and the impact of Android vitals on search visibility.
  • Strong ability to interpret data and provide clear, data-backed briefs to designers for high-converting visual assets.
  • Familiarity with how paid search efforts influence organic "halo effects" is highly preferred.
