App Store Optimization (ASO) Specialist – Game Development Company

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and data-driven ASO Specialist to improve the visibility, ranking, and conversion rates of our mobile games on app stores. The ideal candidate will have experience with App Store Optimization strategies, keyword research, competitor analysis, and performance tracking to maximize organic downloads and user acquisition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement ASO strategies for mobile games on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
  • Conduct keyword research to improve app rankings and discoverability.
  • Optimize app titles, subtitles, descriptions, keywords, and metadata.
  • Create and test app store assets, including screenshots, icons, feature graphics, and promotional videos.
  • Monitor app store rankings, reviews, ratings, and user feedback.
  • Perform competitor analysis and identify market trends in the gaming industry.
  • Plan and execute A/B testing for store listings to improve conversion rates.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, design, and user acquisition teams.
  • Analyze ASO performance metrics and prepare regular reports.
  • Stay updated with app store algorithm changes and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Digital Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 1–3+ years of experience in ASO, digital marketing, or mobile app marketing.
  • Strong understanding of App Store and Google Play ranking factors.
  • Experience with ASO tools such as Sensor Tower, AppTweak, Mobile Action, or Data.ai.
  • Knowledge of keyword research and competitive analysis.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and data analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with mobile games or gaming applications.
  • Understanding of user acquisition (UA) and mobile marketing.
  • Familiarity with analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Firebase, or AppsFlyer.
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design and creative optimization.
